Eagle: From the surface, we could not see any stars out the window. I'm looking at the Earth. It's big and bright and beautiful.
Houston Control: Roger, Tranquility. We understand. Must be a beautiful sight.

Houston Control: Roger, Columbia. How did Tranquility look to you down there? Over.
Columbia: It looks like a nice area, though.
Columbia: Well, the area looks smooth, but I was unable to see him. I just picked out a distinguishable crater nearby and marked on it.

Eagle: Surface appears to be very, very fine grained, as you get close to it. It's almost like powder. Down there, it's very fine.

Eagle: (NA) I can see the footprints of my boots and the treads in the fine, sandy particles.
Eagle: (NA) It's actually no trouble to walk around.
Eagle: (NA) There seems to be no difficulty in moving around as we suspected.
Eagle: Descent engine did not leave a crater of any size. It has about 1 foot clearance on the ground.
